a walk in the park – Celine Polka Dot dress

A polka dot dress is for me a true classic, which is, just like an all-white look, not to be thought away from from summer. The iconic dots are super easy to combine in the pattern mix, but also look good plain, without any color or pattern mixing. This year, in addition to the classic polka dot pattern with black dots on a white background, you can also see more colored variants, for example at brands such as Stine Goya, Milkwhite or Ganni. My dress is classy reversed – so white dots on a black background.

Celine Polka Dot dress

My today’s look comes without many pattern and combinations. I wear the Celine dress with polka dots along with old Céline fake fur slides and sunnies. When Hedi Slimane presented his first collection of the new Celine, I couldn’t imagine to fall in love with a dress and neither being able to combine it with old Céline. But Slimane, who by the way accused his critics of being too conservative and in parts homophobic, seems to have distanced a bit from the super-mini length of his dresses and skirts and next to sex, drugs & rock’n’roll now actually designs fashion for everyday use.
